SUMMARY:Hike South Rim\, Willow Creek\, & Fountain Valley at Roxborough
DESCRIPTION:Discover the natural beauty of Roxborough State Park as we take on a 5.3-mile loop trail near Littleton\, Colorado! \nThis beautiful hike begins with a gradual climb through scrub oaks on the South Rim Trail\, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the rock formations from above.  As we descend\, we’ll connect to Willow Creek Trail\, a great spot to look for deer grazing\, before looping back pas the visitor center.  From there\, we’ll continue on the Fountain Valley Loop\, where you’ll get up close to the iconic rock formations. \nDetails & Reminders \n\nTrailhead: Roxborough State Park (park at the trailhead before or below the visitor center)\nTrail Conditions:  Many sections are shaded\, with a chance for packed snow and icy patches. If we end up just hiking\, micro spikes are highly recommended for your safety.  Dress in warm layers.\nPark Entry: A state park pass is required\, or pay the entrance fee upon arrival. Check with the park for current rates.\nWhat to Bring: Comfortable hiking gear\, extra water\, snacks\, layers\, and snowshoes/trail micro spikes just in case.\nImportant Note: Dogs are not allowed in Roxborough State Park\, so please leave your furry friends at home to avoid disappointment.\n\nTrail Guides: Denise Reynolds and Kaylene Macias \nThis popular hiking spot is perfect for exploring with friends while enjoying fresh air and incredible views.
