DESCRIPTION:With the impending storm and potentially hazardous road conditions expected tomorrow morning\, we’ve decided to cancel the Chief Mountain hike in Evergreen. \nBundle up and join us for a Wednesday snowshoe trek (IF we get snow) to the summit of Chief Mountain\, where 360° views of the Rockies make every step worth it! This short but rewarding route takes you through the quiet pines of the Arapaho National Forest before breaking above tree line for breathtaking vistas of Pikes Peak\, Longs Peak\, and beyond. \nThe trail is rocky\, well-maintained\, and offers a moderate challenge with big-time scenery. It’s the perfect winter adventure to stretch your legs\, breathe in the crisp mountain air\, and soak in those sweeping alpine views. \nTrail Details: \n\nDistance: ~3 miles round trip\nElevation Gain: ~1\,000 feet\nDifficulty: Moderate\nChallenges: Short\, steep sections and limited roadside parking\n\nCarpool Information: \nParking at the trailhead is limited—we’ll carpool from Mike’s Bikes in Highlands Ranch\, departing promptly at 7:45 AM.  Address: 2030 E County Line Rd\, Highlands Ranch\, CO 80126 \nWhat to Bring: \n\nSturdy boots or trail shoes\nSnowshoes and micro spikes (conditions dependent)\nTrekking poles\nWarm layers\, hat\, and gloves\nWater and snacks\n\nTrail Guides: Alison Cagaanan and Robin Lythgoe \nCome ready for a true Colorado winter adventure—a short climb with big views and great company!

DESCRIPTION:Lace up and get ready for a scenic and energizing trail run through Ridgeline Open Space\, one of Castle Rock’s local gems! This area features four interconnected loops that total about 9 miles of rolling singletrack—perfect for runners who love variety\, views\, and a bit of a challenge. \nOur route will combine several trails to explore most of the open space\, winding through hills\, grasslands\, and rocky terrain. The hilly sections make for a fun but tough workout\, and with plenty of route options\, we can adjust the distance as group—go shorter\, go longer\, or find the perfect in-between. \nTrail Details: \n\nDistance: 3 to 9 miles (adjustable based on group preference)\nDifficulty: Moderate\nTerrain: Rolling hills\, dirt trails\, and beautiful views of Castle Rock\nHighlights: Flexible route\, great workout\, and wide-open scenery\nBring: Water\, sun protection\, and your running shoes with good traction\n\nTrail Guides: Anne Sevilla and Robin Kelly \nJoin us for fresh air\, great company\, and the satisfaction of conquering some hills with a smile!
