Signing up now makes 2026 concrete.\n\nThe Relay Details \nWe will form 3 teams of 5 people each. \n\nThe relay is broken into five legs of varying lengths/difficulty\, so no leg is overwhelming.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeg 1: urban river – 6.5 miles\nLeg 2: no groans at Sloan’s – 3.8 miles\nLeg 3: eclectic mile high – 5.9 miles\nLeg 4: screaming downhill – 4.0 miles\nLeg 5: downtown river trek – 6.0 miles\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s open to anyone\, no need for “hard-core marathoners.”\nYou’ll get the official Denver Colfax Marathon 20th anniversary relay swag as well as an official WAC race day shirt!\n\nAre you in?

SUMMARY:Private Guided Hike at Cherokee Ranch
DESCRIPTION:We are incredibly excited to offer a private guided hike at the beautiful and historic Cherokee Ranch—an experience not typically open to the public and one you won’t want to miss! \nThis approximately 3-mile hike may be shorter in distance\, but it’s packed with adventure. The route includes some rigorous off-trail hiking\, giving us the rare opportunity to explore areas few get to see. Along the way\, we’ll visit the summit of Cherokee Mountain\, explore two archaeological sites\, and experience the fascinating 55-million-year-old petrified forest. \nBecause portions of the hike involve bushwhacking\, long pants are strongly recommended. \nThis is a private ranch\, and we are truly grateful to be welcomed onto this special land. Come help us honor this unique opportunity. \nAbout Cherokee Ranch\nLocated in Sedalia\, in the heart of Douglas County\, Cherokee Ranch has served as a community cultural resource since 1996. The property is home to Cherokee Castle\, a rare 15th-century-style Scottish castle built over 100 years ago\, housing an impressive collection of art\, antiques\, and rare books. The ranch also reflects Colorado’s rich western heritage and continues to operate as headquarters for the Santa Gertrudis cattle breed\, introduced here in 1954 by Mildred “Tweet” Kimball. Today\, Cherokee Ranch hosts a variety of cultural\, scientific\, and community events. \nTrail Details: \n\nDifficulty: Moderate to challenging (due to off-trail travel) to \nDistance: ~3 miles\nTerrain: Uneven\, off-trail\, with some bushwhacking\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nLong pants (highly recommended)\nSturdy hiking shoes\nWater and snacks\nSun protection\n\nThis is a rare chance to step into a place rich with history\, nature\, and hidden stories—all while sharing the experience with an amazing group of women. \nWAC Trail Guides: Robin Lythgoe and Kelly Phillips

SUMMARY:Defeating Your Inner Bully
DESCRIPTION:We’ve all done it. We’ve all been there. “You idiot!” “Why weren’t you paying attention!” “What were you thinking!” “That was stupid\, stupid\, stupid!” We’ve yelled at ourselves and beat ourselves down.  \nAnd when we’re struggling\, this voice gets increasingly loud\, even drowning out all those positive mantras\, affirmations\, and successes we experience. Why? Because most of us have a lot of negative external (and internal) input to overcome! The inner bully is a not-so-friendly voice or feeling within us that constantly reminds us of our past mistakes or failures. Or what we don’t like about ourselves. Many up-and-coming female leaders must overcome these negative thoughts\, sometimes referred to as “imposter syndrome”\, as they advance into senior roles. In this workshop\, you’ll gain skills to: \n\nStand up to your inner bully by catching it and looking it straight in the eye.\nAcknowledge where the bully comes from\, and instead of battling it\, just hear it.\nStop letting your inner bully run what you do or don’t do.\n\nAttend this workshop to learn what your bully is saying and gain the skills to turn down its voice and regain the power in your life! \nLearning Outcomes \n\n\nDefine Imposter Syndrome & the language of your inner bully\nReview the origins of negative thoughts\nDescribe strategies to overcome negative thoughts\nAssess best practices for gaining core confidence\nIdentify methods to take back your power and find your inner warrior\n\nTheresa Byrne is a global speaker and defense expert whose fun and engaging TED Talk\, The Dangers of Your Inner Bully\, has over 850\,000 views and was named one of the Top Ten Most Meaningful TED Talks by Thrive Global Magazine. \nAs a mindset and boundary specialist\, certified Positive Intelligence coach\, and martial arts Master Instructor (with eight black belts)\, she founded InPower® to help women not only with external stressors but to quiet the inner bully\, strengthen self-trust\, and build genuine mental resilience using practical tools they can apply in real life. \nHer work combines neuroscience (she had to heal a brain injury using every available tool as if her life depended on it)\, smart strategy\, and humor to make mental strength feel attainable and fun!
