SUMMARY:14er: Quandary Peak
DESCRIPTION:Quandary Peak Overnight Adventure\nGet ready for a bucket-list weekend! We are heading to the heart of the Tenmile Range to tackle Quandary Peak\, one of Colorado’s most iconic “Fourteeners.” Standing at 14\,265 feet\, it offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views in the state. \n\nThe Game Plan\n\nFriday August 7th: We will depart Parker at 6pm and check into our hotel in Keystone.  If you have not eaten dinner by this time\, please bring your food with you as well as any snacks you need for the hike.  We will get to the hotel\, check in\, and head to bed for a solid night’s sleep at altitude (approx. 9\,600′).\nSunday\, August 8th:  The Ascent: We’ll head to the trailhead for an early morning start. The goal is to reach the summit and be back below the treeline by noon to stay safe from common mountain weather patterns.\n\nThe Hike: What to Expect\nThe East Ridge Trail is the standard route. While it is considered a “beginner-friendly” 14er because it is a Class 1 hike (no technical climbing or rock scrambling required)\, don’t let the label fool you—it is a rigorous physical challenge! \n\nDistance: 6.7 miles round-trip.\nElevation Gain: ~3\,450 feet\n\nWhat is included:\n\nOvernight lodging in shared queen beds\nBreakfast before the hike – bars\, bagels\, peanut butter\nAll transportation costs (van and gas)\nDecal and photos with WAC banner to commemorate event\nSwag\nSupport and encouragement from the group (priceless!)
