Along the way\, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains\, unique sandstone formations\, and opportunities to spot local wildlife in their natural habitat. \nThe Fowler Trail provides a relatively gentle start\, while the Goshawk Ridge and Spring Brook sections add a bit more challenge and variety to the hike. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxing morning on the water at beautiful Palmer Lake\, nestled at the base of the Front Range between Palmer Lake and Monument. Whether you’re paddling a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP)\, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Colorado’s mountain scenery\, connect with fellow adventurers\, and soak up some sunshine. \nPalmer Lake offers calm waters and stunning views of the surrounding foothills\, making it a great destination for both experienced paddlers and those newer to the sport. We’ll launch together from the North Beach and explore the lake at a comfortable pace\, taking time to enjoy the scenery and each other’s company. \nThis is a social outing\, so feel free to paddle hard\, float peacefully\, or simply enjoy being out on the water with a fantastic group of women. \nWhat to Bring: \n\nKayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP)\nPersonal flotation device (PFD) – required\nPaddle\nWater and snacks\nSunscreen\, hat\, and sunglasses\nTowel and a change of clothes (just in case!)\nDry bag for personal items (recommended)\n\nImportant Notes: \n\nPlease arrive 20 – 30 minutes early if you need time to unload and set up your equipment. DESCRIPTION:Quandary Peak Overnight Adventure\nGet ready for a bucket-list weekend! We are heading to the heart of the Tenmile Range to tackle Quandary Peak\, one of Colorado’s most iconic “Fourteeners.” Standing at 14\,265 feet\, it offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views in the state. \n\nThe Game Plan\n\nFriday August 7th: We will depart Parker at 6pm and check into our hotel in Keystone.  If you have not eaten dinner by this time\, please bring your food with you as well as any snacks you need for the hike.  We will get to the hotel\, check in\, and head to bed for a solid night’s sleep at altitude (approx. 9\,600′).\nSunday\, August 8th:  The Ascent: We’ll head to the trailhead for an early morning start. The goal is to reach the summit and be back below the treeline by noon to stay safe from common mountain weather patterns.\n\nThe Hike: What to Expect\nThe East Ridge Trail is the standard route. While it is considered a “beginner-friendly” 14er because it is a Class 1 hike (no technical climbing or rock scrambling required)\, don’t let the label fool you—it is a rigorous physical challenge! \n\nDistance: 6.7 miles round-trip.\nElevation Gain: ~3\,450 feet\n\nWhat is included:\n\nOvernight lodging in shared queen beds\nBreakfast before the hike – bars\, bagels\, peanut butter\nAll transportation costs (van and gas)\nDecal and photos with WAC banner to commemorate event\nSwag\nSupport and encouragement from the group (priceless!)

DESCRIPTION:Be Among the First to Run Lost Canyon Ranch! \nHere’s your chance to experience Castle Rock’s newest trail system before it even makes it onto AllTrails! \nJoin us for a trail run through the brand-new Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space\, one of Douglas County’s most exciting new outdoor destinations. This is a rare opportunity to run terrain that\, until recently\, was hidden behind private gates and inaccessible to the public. \nLost Canyon Ranch was permanently protected through a conservation easement in 2024\, preserving one of the last large undeveloped properties near Castle Rock. The newly opened trails wind through forests\, rolling grasslands\, and dramatic canyon landscapes\, offering beautiful scenery and plenty of fresh air. \nWe’ll explore approximately 7–8 miles of the new trail system at a comfortable\, regrouping pace.
