Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting to explore trail jogging\, this event is for ALL women of ALL levels. \nWe’ll be offering two group options: \n\n\nAnne’s Group will take on the full 6.4-mile loop to Panorama Point. This moderately challenging route features scenic creekside paths and rewarding views of Mt. Blue Sky. \n\n\nKaylene’s Group will take a shorter\, beginner-friendly route\, focusing on easy jogging with built-in heart rate recovery breaks—perfect if you’re newer to trail running or want a more relaxed pace. \n\n\nPace does not matter—our focus is on community\, movement\, and confidence on the trails. \nGroup size is limited based on local county rules. SUMMARY:Hike at Mitchell Creek Canyon via Gateway Mesa
DESCRIPTION:This trail is a great example of the ecology and geography of the Castle Rock area. It offers much of the same experience as the nearby Castlewood canyon without the crowds. The trail climbs to the western rim of the canyon which it follows for the majority of the hike. We will park at the Gateway Mesa Trailhead to connect with Mitchell Creek Canyon. Plan for about 4 miles out and back. Your trail guides are Robin Lythgoe and Vange Pena-Jenks. This is a gorgeous hike with lots of terrain changes and gorgeous views. Definitely one to make sure you visit! \n

Together you’ll discover new local trails every Sunday as we motivate each other to push our limits and strengthen our minds. You will never be last and you will never be left behind.. No matter your pace\, you have a place with us! Optional weekday workouts will be provided. For your graduation from this program\, we will run the All Out Spring Fever on Sunday\, March 23. Afterwards\, we’ll celebrate with a team luncheon in Downtown Denver. (Luncheon and race registration not covered in registration).

This out-and-back route is perfect for those looking to enjoy the outdoors while building their trail-running skills. You do not need to run the full length of this trail. Just like our legendary Waterton Canyon run\, come partner up and run whatever mileage is right for you while we cheer you on! \nEvent Details: \n\nTrail Guide: Kaylene Macias\nWhere: Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center parking lot (off Waterton Road)\nDistance: 8 miles (out-and-back) You can add more mileage as this is a 14.3 mile trail.\nDifficulty: Moderate\nEstimated Time: 1 hour and 4 minutes\n\nStarting from the Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center parking lot\, this dirt trail meanders through part of Chatfield State Park. You’ll run north alongside the highway before transitioning onto the Wetlands Interpretive Trail.
