Just like our legendary Waterton Canyon run\, come partner up and run whatever mileage is right for you while we cheer you on! \nEvent Details: \n\nTrail Guide: Kaylene Macias\nWhere: Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center parking lot (off Waterton Road)\nDistance: 8 miles (out-and-back) You can add more mileage as this is a 14.3 mile trail.\nDifficulty: Moderate\nEstimated Time: 1 hour and 4 minutes\n\nStarting from the Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center parking lot\, this dirt trail meanders through part of Chatfield State Park. You’ll run north alongside the highway before transitioning onto the Wetlands Interpretive Trail. With flat terrain\, beautiful views of the water\, and glimpses of the foothills\, this route is as peaceful as it is scenic. \nAdditional Information: \n\nDogs are welcome but must remain on a leash.\nRestrooms are available at the parking area.\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out\, this event is a great way to connect with others who share your love of the outdoors. We’ll meet at 6:45 am to carpool from At Home (8585 S Yosemite St.\, Lone Tree)\, departing promptly at 7:00 a.m. and returning between 3–4 p.m. The cost is $60\, which includes transportation and park entry\, and the specific trail will be chosen closer to the date based on conditions. \nHead to the main Special Events page for more descriptions of the activity levels. Be sure to bring your own snowshoes\, plenty of hydration\, snacks\, and a packed lunch to enjoy amidst the stunning winter scenery.
