This moderately challenging route takes you through a dynamic mix of open fields\, shady woods\, historical sites\, and breathtaking viewpoints. With an average completion time of 1 hour and 41 minutes\, it’s the perfect way to spend your morning immersed in nature. \nAs you hike\, you’ll encounter stunning vistas of Denver\, the iconic Red Rocks\, and the surrounding mountain ranges\, especially when you reach the summit of Mount Falcon (7\,851 ft). Along the way\, you’ll also find a few shelters to rest and take in the views. \nImportant Reminder: The trail is popular with hikers\, bikers\, and horseback riders\, so expect to share the path with other adventurers. DESCRIPTION:Discover the natural beauty of Roxborough State Park as we take on a 5.3-mile loop trail near Littleton\, Colorado! \nThis beautiful hike begins with a gradual climb through scrub oaks on the South Rim Trail\, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the rock formations from above.  As we descend\, we’ll connect to Willow Creek Trail\, a great spot to look for deer grazing\, before looping back pas the visitor center.  From there\, we’ll continue on the Fountain Valley Loop\, where you’ll get up close to the iconic rock formations. \nDetails & Reminders \n\nTrailhead: Roxborough State Park (park at the trailhead before or below the visitor center)\nTrail Conditions:  Many sections are shaded\, with a chance for packed snow and icy patches. If we end up just hiking\, micro spikes are highly recommended for your safety.  Dress in warm layers.\nPark Entry: A state park pass is required\, or pay the entrance fee upon arrival.
