DESCRIPTION:How about a hike with some serious scenery? This beautiful loop takes us through Cherry Gulch to the iconic Red Rocks\, combining varied terrain\, rocky sections\, steady climbs\, and spectacular views along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities for great photos. \nThe trail offers a great mix of topography as we make our way through the foothills\, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the scenery. The steady inclines will get your legs working\, but the views and unique red rock formations make the effort worthwhile! \nTrail Details: \n\nDifficulty: Moderate \n Distance: 5.2 miles\nElevation gain: 793 feet\n\nGood to Know: \n\nLimited shade — sun protection highly recommended\nThis is a popular trail\, so expect to share the path with hikers\, mountain bikers\, and dogs.\nSturdy shoes with good traction are recommended for the rocky sections.\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nPlenty of Water and snacks\nSturdy hiking shoes\nSun protection (hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen)\nTrekking Poles (optional)\n\nTrail Guides: Robin Lythgoe and Kristine Johansson \nMeetup Location: 1103 County Rd 93\, Golden\, CO 80401
