THE WOMEN'S ADVENTURE CLUB
Explore – Connect – Thrive
Welcome to the Women’s Adventure Club!
The Women’s Adventure Club (WAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing women’s mental, social, and physical health through exploring, connecting, and thriving in nature. Our weekly outdoor excursions take us to both local and front range trails, where you can exercise at your own pace and make lasting friendships. We welcome first-time explorers and seasoned warriors alike, as each individual enriches us with her unique strengths and experiences. Our community-based events focus on the healing power of sisterhood, nature, and exercise to guide you to a happier, healthier you.
Why Join Us?
We believe that every woman deserves the right to wellness, regardless of socio-economic status. That’s why we do not charge membership fees. Our free membership grants you access to our three weekly meetup groups: Tuesday Stroller Squad, Wednesday Warriors, and our Saturday Adventurers. These guided excursions harness the healing power of sisterhood, nature, and exercise, making a lasting impact on your mental, physical, and social health.

What our community looks like!
Why Women Love Our Events
We offer more than just activities — we provide a welcoming community and unforgettable experiences. Many women feel nervous about joining at first, but that quickly fades once they meet our friendly members and experience the warm, supportive atmosphere. Our members know that when they attend an event, they’re joining a group of women who have their back and share their enthusiasm for adventure.
This strong sense of community is a key reason why women are drawn to our events and return again and again. Join us and see for yourself why the Women’s Adventure Club is more than just an adventure group; it’s a place where friendships are forged, confidence is built, and memories are made. We can’t wait to welcome you to our next adventure.

I had spent the previous months in an intense five hours a day mental health program to assist me with Postpartum Psychosis, Anxiety, and PTSD Nightmares. To say I had hit rock bottom would be a gross understatement. I had been going for eight years undiagnosed, untreated, and unmedicated. I felt like I was drowning and was too afraid to ask for help; terrified that if someone knew how dark my thoughts were I’d be sent away and locked up for good.
Luckily for me, a visiting family member could tell I wasn’t myself and I needed help. She held my hand while I sobbed and dialed an emergency mental health hotline. That started a long path to recovery that has since turned my life around. While undergoing treatment and counseling, it became increasingly clear that I was missing key elements in my life. I needed friends, exercise, and sunshine. And I needed to find a way to get it for myself. I saw an ad for a team relay race that spurred a lightbulb moment in my mind. Despite not running in ages, being completely out of shape, and having no idea how to train for high elevation relay runs, I decided I was going to run it. And I was going to find friends to do it with… Read More

Help Us Change the World!
Want to help support our mission? Donate! The Women’s Adventure Club does not charge membership fees. We do this so all women have access to a supportive community, no matter her socio-economic status. Instead, we rely on the generosity of others to help the Women’s Adventure Club meet the needs of our community.
Together, we are making great strides to change our society of loneliness back to village culture – because it takes a village to raise a happy adult too. Become a donor today and help Douglas County women explore, connect, and thrive!
