Explore – Connect – Thrive

The Women’s Adventure Club (WAC) is a nonprofit organization that caters to women’s mental, social, and physical health through exploring, connecting, and thriving in nature. Our weekly outdoor excursions take you to trails both locally and along the front range, where you can exercise at your own pace and make lasting friendships. We welcome first time explorers and seasoned warriors alike, as each individual enriches us with her own strengths and experiences.   Our community-based events all focus on the healing power of sisterhood, nature, and exercise to guide you to a happier, healthier you.

We believe that every woman has the right to wellness through our organization, regardless of their socio-economic status. We do not charge membership fees. Our free membership give you access to our three weekly meetup groups: Wander Woman, Rocky Mountain Retirees, and Stroller Momfia.  These guided adventures utilize the healing power of sisterhood, nature, and exercise to make a lasting impact on your mental, physical, and social health.

About the Founder
Kaylene Macias

In January 2023 I was friendless and my mental health was in the gutter. I had spent the previous months in an intense five hours a day mental health program to assist me with Postpartum Psychosis, Anxiety, and PTSD Nightmares. To say I had hit rock bottom would be a gross understatement. I had been going for eight years undiagnosed, untreated, and unmedicated. I felt like I was drowning and was too afraid to ask for help.

Help Us Change the World!

Want to help support our mission? Donate! The Women’s Adventure Club does not charge membership fees. We do this so all women have access to a supportive community, no matter her socio-economic status. Instead, we rely on the generosity of others to help the Women’s Adventure Club meet the needs of our community. Together, we are making great strides to change our society of loneliness back to village culture – because it takes a village to raise a happy adult too. Become a donor today and help Douglas County women explore, connect, and thrive!
