Hike at Saint Mary’s Glacier

The rocky trail leads to a stunning high-alpine lake and glacier, surrounded by dramatic mountain views. It’s a beautiful spot to pause, take photos, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. For those who want a little more adventure, there is an option to continue beyond the glacier and explore higher terrain—we’ll decide as a group how far we want to go.
Because this hike sits at over 10,000 feet in elevation, expect thinner air and changing mountain conditions. Take your time, breathe deeply, and enjoy the journey.

Meetup and Parking:
We will meet as a group at the trailhead (not in the parking lots). Parking is $20 per car (cash or electronic payment). The two parking lots fill up quickly, so organizing carpools in our private FB group is highly encouraged.
Important Notes:
- The trail climbs steeply to the alpine lake before reaching the glacier.
- The area can be windy and much colder than Denver, so dress in layers.
- Please stay on durable surfaces and respect the fragile alpine environment.
- This hike may be short, but the views are unforgettable—perfect for anyone wanting a quick adventure with a big mountain feel!
