The Peak Pursuit: Fourteener Training Program is for women who are already active and ready to take on the challenge of progressively higher-altitude hikes. Unlike our other programs, this requires a greater time commitment as we increase the elevation we summit each week to prepare for your final Fourteener climb. For this course, you should:

  • Be able to comfortably hike 5–6 miles on varied terrain with at least 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
  • Commit to weekly training hikes that gradually increase in elevation and difficulty.
  • Engage in regular cardiovascular or strength training (hiking, running, cycling, strength workouts, etc.) at least 3 days per week.
  • Be free of major injuries that would prevent you from safely completing long, high-altitude hikes.

Not Quite Ready?

If you’re not sure you meet the requirements, a great way to prepare is by joining our free weekly adventure events on Saturdays and Wednesdays! These hikes and workouts will help build the endurance, strength, and confidence needed before committing to Fourteener training.
