Requirements
A mountain bike is required for this training program and must be in good working order. We ask that your bike is trail-ready before class begins. If you’re unsure about its condition, please take it to a local bike shop for a tune-up. We will not be spending class time fixing bikes, so make sure yours is ready to ride! Please ensure your bike meets the following requirements before the first session:
- Safe, working brakes
- Front suspension is required; rear suspension is optional
- Knobby tires in good condition (slime recommended for puncture resistance)
- Lubricated chain for smooth shifting and performance
- No old-school clip cages (flat pedals or clipless pedals preferred)
- Helmet
