Private Nature walk at Backcountry Wilderness Area

We’re thrilled to to have The Women’s Adventure Club welcomed to the beautiful Backcountry Wilderness Area for a private guided nature walk! This relaxed and scenic outing will cover approximately 3 miles on packed dirt trails that wind through this peaceful landscape. While the trail is generally approachable, expect some uneven sections—perfect for slowing down, observing nature, and enjoying the moment. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with one another, soak in the surroundings, and experience the Backcountry in a more intimate setting. Since this is a private guided tour please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early.

What to Bring & Wear:

• Closed-toed shoes
• Weather-appropriate layers
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• Water
• Optional: binoculars, snacks, coffee, or whatever makes your walk more enjoyable

• Surface: Packed dirt (uneven in spots)
• Pace: Leisurely nature walk

Enter Ron King Trail from Santa Fe
Follow the Backcountry Wilderness Area logos and signs all the way to Base Camp (past Law Enforcement Training)
Parking is along the fence by the mulch field to the right (look for camp check-in signs)
The parking lot to the left is staff parking only
