Hike at Pancakes Rocks

Join us for a scenic adventure to one of Colorado’s most unique rock formations—Pancake Rocks! This beautiful trail leads to a fascinating stack of layered rocks that truly resemble a giant pile of pancakes perched high in the mountains.
We’ll begin at the Horsethief Falls Trailhead off Highway 67 and make a gradual climb through a breathtaking mixed forest filled with towering pines and shimmering aspens. The trail is well-marked and shaded for much of the journey, making for a peaceful and enjoyable hike.
At the top, we’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including the unmistakable silhouette of Pikes Peak. Between the unique rock formations, forest scenery, and mountain vistas, this trail is packed with Colorado beauty from start to finish.
