Abyss Trail Hike

This trailhead has spectacular views of the Fall Foliage but gets very busy so we will have an extra early start. We will have two groups. One group will hike 2.5 miles out and 2.5 miles back. This will take you to see views of the bright yellow Aspen leaves covering the Mountain Side. The second group will hike the full 12 miles to reach Helms Lake (6 miles each way). Bring a lunch and lots of snacks and water. It will be chilly when we get started so lots of layers, hats and gloves are recommended. It is a great spot to catch a glimpse of moose!
