Kaylene Macias

Kaylene is a seasoned runner and founder of WAC. She has a flair for the dramatic that thrives on finding fun ways to enhance any WAC event. Kaylene designed WAC’s group trainings to emphasize the power of teamwork in promoting individual growth while harnessing the invigorating energy of the outdoors.

Michele Blumreich

Michele moved to Colorado in 2020 for the outdoor lifestyle and has never looked back. As a founding member and Vice President of the Women’s Adventure Club, she brings strong leadership and strategic vision to the organization. She specializes in creating unforgettable special events that foster connection, adventure, and personal growth.

Michele is also the lead coach for Peak Pursuit, WAC’s Fourteener Training Program, where she helps members build strength, endurance, and confidence to conquer Colorado’s highest peaks. Known for her preparedness and encouragement on every adventure, she is the one you want by your side when taking on a challenge in the mountains! Among the many incredible WAC memories she’s made, one of her favorites was completing the Estes Park Half Marathon alongside fellow members.

Beyond WAC, Michele is a seasoned HR professional with 25 years of experience, specializing in HR transformation and strategy development for Fortune 500 companies. As a sought-after expert in her field, she travels the country leading training programs and delivering keynote speeches on HR strategy, leadership, and employee experience. She has led global HR and payroll transformations, excelling in operational leadership, target operating model strategy, and workplace culture optimization. Michele’s ability to inspire and drive meaningful change makes her a dynamic leader in both corporate and adventure settings.

When she’s not conquering trails or leading transformational initiatives, she stays active—Michele even held her CrossFit L1 instructor certification for six years!

Kelly Phillips

Kelly is a powerhouse of leadership, strategy, and adventure. After an impressive career as Director, Advisory at KPMG LLP and Group Executive, Global Business Services, she recently retired and has since dedicated herself to building the Women’s Adventure Club into what it is today. Whether she’s guiding women through challenging hikes, planning unforgettable excursions, or sharing her wealth of knowledge, Kelly is a passionate mentor and leader.

When she’s not adventuring with WAC, you can find Kelly at Jeep Jamborees, exploring rugged backcountry roads, or discovering the beauty of national parks across the country.
