Cycling Cherry Creek Trail Southern Section: Pinery to Castlewood Canyon

Looking for a beautiful, easygoing bike ride? Come join us for a scenic ride south from the Pinery along the Cherry Creek Regional Trail toward Castlewood Canyon!

This is a mostly flat ride on a paved, multi-use trail that follows Cherry Creek through open space, cottonwoods, grasslands, and beautiful Colorado scenery. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxed pace, get some miles in, and take in the views without tackling any big climbs.

• Difficulty: Easy
• Distance: ~20 miles
• Terrain: Paved, relatively flat, family- and beginner-friendly

Bring:

• A bike designed for pavement that is in good working condition (inspections will be done before the ride starts)
• Helmet (required)
• Sturdy shoes (required)
• Plenty of water (hydration is key!)
• Snacks or energy fuel for the ride
• Sunscreen & sunglasses for sun protection
