Hess Reservoir SUP/Kayak Adventure

Join us for a relaxing morning on the water at Hess Reservoir, one of Parker’s hidden gems! Whether you prefer a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or a kayak, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a peaceful paddle, take in the scenery, and spend time with an amazing group of adventurous women.

Surrounded by rolling hills and open space, Hess Reservoir offers calm waters that are ideal for both experienced paddlers and those newer to the sport. We’ll paddle at a comfortable pace, with plenty of opportunities to chat, enjoy the views, and maybe even spot a few local birds or other wildlife along the shoreline.

NOTE: Because Hess Reservoir requires an online reservation for every vehicle entering the reservoir, WAC will reserve and pay for up to four vehicles. We’ll meet at Echo Park before the event to transfer paddleboards, kayaks, and participants into the reserved vehicles before heading to the reservoir.

What to Bring:

• Kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP)
• Personal flotation device (PFD) – required
• Paddle
• Water and snacks
• Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses
• Towel and a change of clothes (just in case!)
• Dry bag for personal items (recommended)

Important Notes:

• Please arrive at the carpool meetup no later than 7:45 AM. We’ll use this time to transfer equipment to the registered vehicles before departing for the reservoir.
• Trail guides won’t be able to assist with equipment assembly during the event.
• Participants should be comfortable independently setting up and launching their own gear.
• Weather and water conditions will be monitored and the event may be adjusted if necessary.
