Join us for a scenic and empowering group hike to Elephant Butte, one of Evergreen’s most stunning high points! This 4.9-mile out-and-back trail winds through Alderfer Three Sisters Park, known for its peaceful forested paths, rocky ascents, and jaw-dropping views.
- Trailhead: Alderfer/Three Sisters Park – West Trailhead
- Restrooms & ample parking available
- Trail Guides: Vange Pena-Jenks and Kelly Phillips
- Dogs welcome (on leash)
We’ll start with a mellow descent down a gravel road and cross a meadow before beginning our steady climb. Expect moderate challenge, rocky terrain in spots, and both shaded forest sections and sunny viewpoints as we make our way to the summit. The panoramic views at the top of Elephant Butte are absolutely worth the effort.
Whether you’re looking to move your body, meet like-minded women, or just spend time in nature, this hike is open to all experience levels who are comfortable with a steady uphill trek.
Note: Group size is limited based on local county rules. RSVPs are required, and a waitlist will be available once we reach capacity.
