Hike at La Deux Reservoirs Trail to Ice Cave Creek Loop
Join us for an unforgettable adventure on the La Deux Reservoirs Trail to Ice Cave Creek Loop, a hike packed with dramatic scenery, unique geological features, and a touch of winter magic.
This beautiful route winds through a landscape of towering boulders, colorful wildflowers (season permitting), and breathtaking mountain vistas. Along the way, we’ll descend into Ice Cave Creek Canyon, where the trail meanders between massive rock formations and offers stunning views of the surrounding slopes and canyon walls.
The highlight of the hike is the area’s famous ice caves, a fascinating natural feature that draws visitors from all over Colorado. We’ll also pass a scenic creek crossing and keep our eyes open for local wildlife that frequently call this area home.
While incredibly rewarding, this trail does have some steep and gravelly sections, making it best suited for hikers comfortable with uneven terrain. During the winter months, snow and ice can linger on the trail, so proper gear is essential.
