Hike at Waterton Canyon

Join us for a beautiful, flexible hike near Littleton, CO! We’ll cover up to 6 miles on a wide gravel trail with mostly gentle grades and a few steeper spots. As a group, we’ll decide how far to go — hike the full route or turn around whenever it feels right.

Expect breathtaking views and a good chance to spot wildlife — so don’t forget your camera or binoculars! This trail is stunning year-round, but dogs are not allowed to protect local bighorn sheep.

Whether you’re in it for the workout, the views, or the great company, this hike is one you won’t want to miss!

Trail Details:

• Location: South Platte River Trail
• Distance: Up to 6 miles (out-and-back; group will the mileage)
• Route: Follows a gravel road along the South Platte River, ending at the picturesque Bighorn Picnic Area.
• Difficulty: Moderately challenging, with a mix of gentle terrain and a few steeper sections.
