Hike/Snowshoe at Rim Rock Trail to Creek Trail Loop

Get ready for a 4.6-mile adventure through the stunning Castlewood Canyon State Park, located near Franktown, Colorado! This moderately challenging loop trail takes you through scenic landscapes, from creek-side views and a charming waterfall to sweeping vistas above the canyon. Depending on trail conditions, we will either hike or snowshoe. Please plan to bring both snowshoes and microspikes.
The first half of the trail follows a creek, where you’ll enjoy peaceful moments by the water and admire the small waterfall along the way. As you continue, the trail ascends above the canyon, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Be prepared for elevation changes and rocky, stepped sections that may be icy depending on conditions.
