Saturday Evening Special Event – Full Moon Nature Walk with Bats at Schweiger Ranch

Join us for a truly unique evening experience under the light of the full moon! Schweiger Ranch has partnered with South Suburban Parks & Recreation District and WAC to offer a free guided nature walk led by professional naturalists who will share fascinating insight into the natural environment surrounding the ranch.
As dusk settles in, we’ll walk together to a peaceful spot along the trail to watch the full moon rise over the landscape. At nightfall, we’ll quietly listen and look for bats as they emerge from the historic barn to begin their nighttime hunt—an unforgettable sight and sound experience!
Afterward, we’ll make our way back to the parking lot illuminated by the glow of the full moon, relying on our natural night vision as we enjoy the calm beauty of the evening.
This is a slower-paced, immersive nature experience perfect for anyone looking to enjoy something a little different outdoors.
