Leaf Peeping Hike – Panorama Point via Mule Deer & Raccoon Trail (Golden Gate Canyon State Park)

Ready for some of the best views in the Front Range? This lollipop-shaped route will take us through scenic forest trails and up to the stunning Panorama Point, where we’ll enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. With the fall colors likely in full display, this hike promises to be a truly memorable experience.

Our journey begins on the Mule Deer Trail which parallels Mountain Base Road. From there, we’ll cross Gap Road and continue along the Raccoon and Mule Deer Trails, making our way to the overlook before looping back.

Parking at the trailhead is limited, so we will have carpooling available

• Please arrive a little early—cars will leave the lot promptly at 6:45 AM.
