This area provides a quick escape into forested open space from nearby Downtown Castle Rock. This is a 2.4 mile trail, both paved and unpaved. Prominent wildlife habitats in the area are bluebirds and mule deer.
We will be parking at the Goodson Recreation Center at 6315 S University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. From there, we will head north on Highline Canal for an out and back run or walk. Kaylene will be leading any trail runners and Kelly will be leading out the hikers.

Challenger Park is right next to the Parker Rec Center. We will meet at the large gazebo in between all three baseball diamonds. This trail goes around all three baseball diamonds and then goes behind the rec center to connect to the Cherry Creek Trail. Your kiddos can play at the playground afterwards!
