Lead the Charge as a Coach!
Are you passionate about trail running and inspiring others to reach their peak performance? We’re seeking experienced and enthusiastic trail running coaches to join our team at the Women’s Adventure Club! As a coach, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and motivate women on their journey through the beautiful outdoors. Our training programs meet every Sunday morning, creating a consistent and supportive once-a-week meetup. Each class will have a maximum of 10 students, ensuring personalized attention and a nurturing environment. Coach positions are compensated for your time and expertise. As a valued member of our team, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in our exclusive Coach’s Workshop—a space for personal growth, connection, and skill-building with fellow coaches.
We Seek Coaches Who:
Are passionate trail runners: You genuinely love trail running and are excited to share that enthusiasm with others. Proven experience in trail running or related coaching fields. Relevant certifications (e.g., running coach, personal training). If not currently certified, you must obtain certification within three months of application approval. Must be able to comfortably run all distances within the distance you coach.
- Possess Strong Leadership Skills: You can inspire and motivate participants of all skill levels, guiding them through training while fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Coaches have a willingness to collaborate with other coaches to support the growth of the program and its participants. Must commit to teach the full training program course, ranging from 6-12 weeks dependent on mileage of course.
- Encourage Growth and Confidence: You are committed to empowering women to step outside their comfort zones, embrace challenges, and build confidence through their running journey. You can accommodate a diverse group of runners, tailoring your coaching style to meet the needs of beginners and experienced trail runners alike.
- Value Safety and Well-Being: You prioritize the safety of your participants and promote healthy practices, understanding the physical and mental benefits of running in nature. Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; must be certified within two months of application approval and have knowledge of safety protocols and risk management in outdoor activities.
- Capture the action by taking photos during events and sharing them on our social media.
Responsibilities:
Lead Weekly Trail Runs: Lead participants through diverse terrains and challenging trails, helping them build confidence and skill.
- Commitment: Training program range between 8-12 weeks, dependent on course.
Create Training Plans: Develop progressive training plans and share insights on running technique, nutrition, and injury prevention to help participants stay healthy and motivated.
Foster Team Camaraderie: Encourage team bonding by creating a supportive atmosphere where participants can connect, share experiences, and cheer each other on during runs.
Ensure Safety: Prioritize the safety of all participants by providing guidance on trail etiquette, navigation, and proper running techniques. Educate runners on the importance of appropriate gear and apparel to protect them from the elements, ensuring they are well-equipped for varying weather conditions.
- Plan Graduation Race: Help our runners gear up for their graduation races, including confirming registration and creating carpool, as needed.

There’s nothing like the exhilaration of running through breathtaking landscapes, connecting with the earth beneath their feet as they enjoy the fresh air and the great outdoors. Our trail running programs last anywhere from 6-12 weeks, providing participants with ample time to improve their skills and build confidence.
