Trail Running

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

The Women’s Adventure Club specializes in team fitness, bringing together women who share a passion for adventure, community, and personal growth. With expert coaching and a supportive team, we help you reach your fitness goals—because you don’t have to hit the trails alone. Our trail running programs are open to women of all fitness levels. Whether you’re new to trail running or training for a race, we welcome you! Speed doesn’t matter—endurance and consistency do.

What We Offer

Each program has recommended guidelines to help you choose the right fit:

  • 5K Program – Ideal for beginners or those returning to running. No experience necessary—just a willingness to start and keep going!
  • 10K Program – You should be able to run or run/walk for 30 minutes at your own pace. We focus on endurance, not speed.
  • Half Marathon Program – Best for those who have completed a 10K or can run/walk for 45-60 minutes.
  • Relay Race Training – If you can complete a 10K, you’re ready! We’ll help you build endurance and pacing skills for multi-leg relay races.

We explore a variety of trails, from rolling dirt paths to more technical terrain, all within a reasonable distance from Parker, Colorado—every week is a new adventure! In Make sure you remember to bring your hydration! Since we’re out on the trails, carrying a water bottle isn’t ideal. We recommend a hydration pack to keep your hands free and your water easily accessible. Check out our gear shop for our favorite hydration systems! If you’re not sure which program is right for you,  email us at [email protected], and we’ll help you decide!

Meet Your Running Coaches!

Courthey Gras

Courtney has been a recreational runner since the age of 14, but her true passion for trail running began in 2020. After suffering a concussion, she discovered that trails were the only place she could run without experiencing post-concussion symptoms—and she never looked back. Since then, she has completed five 50Ks, two 50-milers, and has her sights set on her first 100K in 2025.

Navigating injuries, including a stubborn case of achilles tendinopathy, led Courtney to develop a deep interest in injury prevention and training adaptation. Her commitment to learning led her to earn her UESCA Ultra Running Coaching Certification in 2023. Since then, she has been coaching runners of all backgrounds and experience levels, helping them achieve everything from their first ultra finish to completing a 100-miler. Above all, she loves sharing her passion for trail running and helping others find joy in the sport.

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Courtney moved to Lakewood, CO, in Fall 2024. Outside of running, she works in operations, communities, and partnerships in the startup/tech industry. She has a background in electrical engineering, including a brief career as a NASA engineer.

Michal Thompson

Michal is a Colorado native and an adventurer at heart. As an experienced ultra runner, triathlete, and all-around endurance athlete, she thrives on new challenges and pushing her limits. Whether it’s tackling 14ers, exploring the Colorado Trail, or running alongside her off-roading family, she finds joy in every mile.

Beyond her personal adventures, Michal is deeply dedicated to helping others embrace movement and the outdoors. She works as a Child Life Specialist, a Middle School & High School Cross Country coach, and a Health & Wellness coach. Her expertise lies in empowering individuals to transform their home and health through natural solutions.

As a coach, Michal’s passion is guiding people to fall in love with movement and nature. She excels at helping others unlock their potential by identifying personal obstacles and overcoming negative mindsets. Above all, she is a devoted wife and mother to five children, finding her greatest joy in creating lasting memories with her family.

Anne Sevilla

Anne is an experienced ultra runner with serious bragging rights—she conquered the formidable 2023 TransRockies Run, a multi-day mountain adventure that tests even the toughest athletes. A founding member of the Women’s Adventure Club, Anne is deeply passionate about creating a welcoming and empowering space for all women on the trails.

As a certified run coach through the United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA), Anne is eager to share her knowledge and help others discover the joy of trail running. She believes that no matter your pace, you have a place on the trail—because Mother Nature doesn’t care how fast you go. Her mission is to ensure that every woman has a positive and fulfilling running experience, whether they’re training for an ultra, a 5k, or simply exploring the beauty of the trails around them.

When she’s not running, Anne loves spending summers adventuring across Colorado with her husband and three children, exploring the great outdoors and making unforgettable memories together.
