Become a Cycle Coach!
We are seeking women who are passionate about cycling and eager to share your love for biking. This exciting initiative invites women of all levels to hit the paved paths, improve their cycling skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of group rides. As a compensated coach in our Cycling Training Program, you will lead participants on scenic paved paths, guiding them through enjoyable rides that cater to all bike types, including road bikes and mountain bikes. Your leadership will help foster a supportive and empowering environment as clients work to enhance their cycling abilities over the course of the program. Training programs meet every Sunday Morning with a range of 6-12 weeks, dependent on the design of the course.
We seek coaches who:
- Have Cycling Experience: You should have a strong background in cycling, whether on a road bike or another type of bike, and a passion for teaching others.
- Possess Bike Maintenance Knowledge: Basic knowledge of bike maintenance, including how to change a tire and perform simple repairs, is essential.
- Can Foster Inclusivity: Ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for riders of all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced cyclists.
- Are Motivational: You should inspire participants to push their limits, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy the journey.
- Value Safety and Well-Being: You prioritize the safety of your participants and promote healthy practices, understanding the physical and mental benefits of cycling. Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; must be certified within two months of application approval and have knowledge of safety protocols and risk management in outdoor activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead Weekly Rides: Conduct engaging and structured cycling sessions every Sunday morning, guiding participants through various routes on paved paths.
- Develop Training Plans: Collaborate with program director to design a curriculum that enhances cycling skills and builds endurance over the program duration, which lasts anywhere between 6-12 weeks.
- Organize a Graduation Event: Plan and execute a graduation event at the end of the training program to celebrate participants’ achievements and foster community spirit.
- Ensure Safety: Promote safe cycling practices and ensure all participants understand and follow these guidelines.
- Capture the action by taking photos during events and sharing them on our social media.
