Be a Strength and Conditioning Coach!
Are you passionate about helping women unlock their potential in the great outdoors? The Women’s Adventure Club is looking for motivated, skilled coaches to join our team and lead our dynamic strength and conditioning programs. Our mission is to empower women through outdoor adventures, and we need dedicated coaches like you to guide our members toward new levels of fitness and confidence.
As a coach, you’ll play an essential role in designing and leading our team-based outdoor training sessions, held weekly on Sunday mornings. Each program runs between 6 to 12 weeks, giving our members time to build skills, strength, and endurance over the course of their training. You’ll work closely with our Training Program Director to craft effective and engaging sessions.
We Seek Coaches Who:
- Bring Expertise: You should have a background in strength and conditioning, sports coaching, or fitness training, with a love for the outdoors. Help teach proper form and use of body resistance exercises, hand weights, resistance bands, kettlebells, etc
- Value Teamwork: Experience in team-based coaching or group fitness instruction is a must. Our programs are designed around collaboration, camaraderie, and collective growth.
- Safety-Focused: Certification in fitness training (such as NASM, ACE, or a similar credential) and a current First Aid and CPR certification are ideal. If you are not yet certified, you can join us and work toward your certification within the first 3 months of application approval.
- Inspire and Empower: We look for coaches who can motivate participants of all levels, create an inclusive and positive environment, foster team camaraderie, and quickly learn the names of all attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Lead Training Programs: Design and implement engaging, functional fitness programs that align with our members’ goals. Our Sunday morning sessions focus on strength, endurance, flexibility, and outdoor readiness.
- Come Prepared: Arrive at each session ready and fully prepared before class begins to ensure an efficient, effective workout.
- Foster Community: Create a supportive, team-oriented environment, encourage camaraderie, and make an effort to learn each participant’s name early in the program.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with our Training Program Director to design effective strength programs that meet club standards.
- Ensure Safety: Conduct all sessions with attention to safe practices, making sure all members feel comfortable and supported.
- Capture the action by taking photos during events and sharing them on our social media.
