Snowshoe/Hike at Echo Lake Park

Step into a true winter wonderland at Echo Lake Park! This scenic 4.0-mile out-and-back route near Idaho Springs offers a memorable cold-weather adventure surrounded by snow-covered peaks, frozen water, and crisp mountain air.
The trail features a fun mix of gentle climbs and descents, narrow ledges, and charming bridges that keep the journey interesting from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Echo Lake, and the hike concludes at the stunning Idaho Springs Reservoir—a perfect spot to pause, take photos, and soak it all in.
This route is considered challenging and typically takes around 2 hours to complete, making it a great option for those looking to elevate their winter hiking or snowshoeing experience. Trail conditions will determine whether we hike or snowshoe, so come prepared for both.

- Be prepared for some rocky and narrow sections along the trail.
